Osteoarthritis of the knee 

Osteoarthritis of the knee (OA), also known as osteoarthritis, is usually the result of wear and progressive loss of articular cartilage. It is most common in older people and can be divided into two types: primary and secondary. Primary osteoarthrosis of the knee involves degeneration of the joint with no apparent cause. Secondary osteoarthrosis is the consequence of an abnormal concentration of force in the joint due to trauma or chronic inflammatory conditions, i.e. rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

The OA Spiral Dynamic Unloading Knee Brace corrects the angle of the distal segment (below) of the leg in relation to the portion above the knee. The brace reduces the varus or valgus knee symptoms and decreases the joint pain.  

The OA Spiral Dynamic Unloading Knee Brace has an innovative design. Equipped with a lateral splint, it perfectly absorbs socks and relieves pressure on the knee joint, including the meniscus, and promotes extension movement. 

Patellofemoral pain is reduced via realignment of the joint with special patellar pad which prevents against the kneecap dislocation and improves knee motion.

The compression of the patellar pressure can be adjusted individually according to the user’s needs with the use of periarticular tapes.  

Dynamic spiral unloading straps relief aligns the knee joint, increase joint surface contact and improve physiological knee mobility. 

The OA Spiral Dynamic Unloading Knee Brace has a wrap around design, making it easy to put on and take off for people with limited manual dexterity. This also provides an adjustable fit, allowing users with larger than thighs or calves to comfortably adjust and wear the brace.

The dynamic straps of the brace are padded with silicone to prevent uncontrolled movement of the brace during use.
