Between 20° and 50° of flexion, the patella is at risk for abnormal displacement, subluxation, and dislocation. The 20.50 Patellofemoral Orthosis dynamically supports the patella in this flexion range by increasing the pressure of the bladder and underlying buttress against the lateral edge of the patella as the knee moves between 20° and 50°. The buttress is dependent on the position of the hinge and frame. When the frame is extended, the buttress straps are at their tightest and provide the most pressure and control against the patella, inhibiting subluxation.
20.50 Patellofemoral
Specifically designed for patients with recurrent patellar subluxations and dislocations, the buttress provides the greatest support between 20° and 50° of knee flexion. This dual brace is prefabricated in a 30 cm magnesium frame and can be adapted to a 36 cm aluminum frame.
Common usage examples: Patellofemoral pain syndrome Misalignment of the patella Patellar tendonitis Mild chondromalacia Runner's knee Post-lateral release
Product Features: The dynamic design allows for increased lateral pressure to be applied between 20° and 50° of knee flexion. Air bladder on an adjustable side buttress Lightness of magnesium The pneumatic patella cushion allows patients to adjust the level of support they desire. The pivoting straps help prevent migration of the orthosis. Quick release buckles Up to 8° load available on OA versions
