In addition, cubital tunnel syndrome is very common among athletes. Any physical activity involving a twisting movement of the elbow, which is necessary for throwing, can cause delicate injuries to the elbow ligaments. This is why this condition is common among baseball and handball players.

The first symptoms of cubital tunnel syndrome are pain and numbness in the elbow. Patients also experience tingling, especially in the ring and little fingers. Untreated elbow neuropathy can lead to muscle weakness, limited grip, and a hand deformity called ulnar claw, in which the 4th and 5th fingers are extended at the metacarpophalangeal joints and flexed at the interphalangeal joints.

Cubital tunnel syndrome can often be treated conservatively, with surgery being a last resort. The most effective method is the use of electromyography and the ElbowCurv elbow brace. This elbow brace helps reduce excessive flexion of the joint and protects against entrapment of the ulnar nerve.

The ElbowCurv elbow brace is designed to reduce ulnar tunnel syndrome by maintaining the joint in the required position. The brace is equipped with special cold-formable aluminum frames, which prevent excessive flexion. This solution helps to increase the pressure on the ulnar nerve and reduce pain.

The ElbowCurv elbow brace can also be used during sleep, when we unknowingly bend our elbow and this generates pressure on the ulnar nerve.

The ElbowCurv elbow brace is made from a universal three-layer fabric consisting of an outer elastic polyamide hook-and-loop layer and an inner neoprene foam with an elastic jersey. Our fabric is soft and elastic and is not knitted, which prevents skin-to-skin abrasions in the compression zones. The UniPren hook-and-loop function allows the brace to be adjusted precisely. The fabric is waterproof.
