The arm abduction orthosis with abduction angle regulation is an effective immobilization device for the treatment of an arm fracture, a dislocated shoulder or surgery.

The arm abduction orthosis with abduction angle regulation is an effective immobilization device for the treatment of arm fracture, dislocated shoulder or rotator cuff surgery in postoperative and post-traumatic conditions.

The arm abduction orthosis must be prescribed by the doctor or professional orthopedist.

The medical expert indicates immobilization of the arm in the abduction position for the treatment of anterior dislocation.

The orthosis includes an upper limb support equipped with two self-gripping straps for the forearm, an arm strap and a hand support bracket with height adjustment.

The upper limb support is connected to a lateral dorsal stabilizer, which is provided with 10 plastic stays on the lateral dorsal area.

This construction allows elasticity in the transverse plane and rigidity in the vertical position.

The splint used in the orthosis is an innovative joint with flexion regulation, as follows: 0º, 15º, 30º, 60º, 75º, 90º of flexion.

It is NOT NECESSARY to use a tool to adjust the abduction flexion angle.

To prevent any unwanted changes in the angle, the orthosis is equipped with a safety system which consists of pressing the two safety buttons simultaneously to change the abduction angle of the arm.

The arm abduction orthosis is made of comfortable and breathable Active Distance, the advantage of which is a self-adhesive outer cover, allowing the adaptation of the single size to different body anatomies.

ActiveDistance is a technical discharge lamination with a 3-layer construction.

It is made of double-sided EVA foam laminated with an easy-to-attach polyamide layer.

The ActiveDistance's hook-and-loop feature provides a wide adjustment range and a perfect fit.

Waterproof material.

Maintains the upper limb in abduction, thanks to the innovative construction of the aluminum support, allows to continue the regulation of the rotation of the shoulder (from 20º of internal rotation to 15º of external rotation).

- Hand support with foam grip strengthener helps exercise hand and forearm muscles, while ensuring correct and natural wrist position.

- The clavicular belt is provided with a soft neutral cushion, avoiding pressure on the carotid artery and ensuring comfort during treatment.

- The orthosis fits both sides.

- The unique size of the orthosis offers a wide range of adjustments, thanks to the length of the assembly straps and the flexibility of the arm support.

- The orthosis meets all therapeutic requirements while allowing easy access to the shoulder joint, if necessary for post-operative care or the application of physiotherapy, without having to remove the orthosis from the patient.

Post-operative and post-traumatic shoulder treatment requires positioning of the shoulder and arm in abduction.
