This splint protects and immobilizes the wrist and thumb: it is equipped with three anatomical and moldable stays for immobilizing the wrist and the innovative RHIZOFIX system for blocking the thumb. Ambidextrous.
This splint protects and immobilizes the wrist and thumb. It is equipped with three moldable anatomical supports that guarantee the blocking of all wrist movements; these supports can be removed so that the splint can adapt to the different phases of rehabilitation. RHIZOFIX, the thumb blocking system, immobilizes the thumb on the internal side, leaving the opposite side free.
INDICATIONS
- Traumatic pathologies: distortions, metacarpal fractures; tendinitis affecting the flexor and extensor tendons of the thumb; crush contusion injuries.
- Degenerative pathologies: osteoarthritis, osteoarthritis, radicular osteoarthritis; rheumatoid arthritis; carpal tunnel syndrome radiating to the thumb.
- Rehabilitation phase: provides good muscle-tendon support after trauma or open surgery on the first phalanx of the thumb.
FEATURES
Innovative SUPPORT developed by combining two exclusive systems: the RHIZOFIX thumb block, and the special locking system.
RHIZOFIX: immobilizes the thumb on the inner side, leaving the opposite side free.
LOCKING SYSTEM allows to close the first part around the wrist with the first buttonhole and then improve it with the other bands, adjusting the desired tension for the best comfort. Exclusive, non-allergenic, breathable, 100% cotton on the skin. BLUE color.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS
The layer in contact with the skin is made of a very soft cotton velvet that provides the skin with an extremely comfortable touch while allowing it to breathe. The outer layer is made of a special velcro fabric that allows the velcro strips to attach securely to the surface.
HOW TO WEAR
Directly on the skin Taking care to insert the DORSAL support and the MEDIAL support respectively on the span and the back of the right or left hand.
RIZOFIX can fit either thumb and can be easily adjusted: simply loosen one screw, move it to one side or the other if necessary, then tighten it again.
