BoxerSplint wrist hand finger immobilization orthosis

Orthosis for treating fractures or dislocations of the second to fifth fingers.

Our orthosis immobilizes certain fingers, stabilizes and controls the range of motion.

Boxer's fracture is a common condition in everyday activities, not just in sports.

It is a fracture at the neck of the fourth and fifth bones that form the joints of the hand.

It occurs when the patient hits an object with a closed fist.

Boxer's fracture is divided into two types:

Brawler's fracture - the fracture occurs at the neck of the fifth metacarpal forming the joint of the little finger.
Barbell fracture - the fracture occurs at the neck of the fourth or fifth metacarpal.

Typical symptoms of a fracture are pain, swelling and bruising around the fourth and fifth bones.

The first goal of treatment is to immobilize the fingers to allow proper healing and reduce pain.

It is very important to remember to immobilize the joints above and below the injury site.

To do this, we highly recommend our dedicated boxer's fracture finger splint.

Our splint can be used to immobilize all fingers except the thumb.
