Jousto the Finnish foot lifter.
A connected arched sole connected to the calf by a dynamic support. The peroneal orthosis is intended to be used when a person suffers from ankle claudication resulting from damage to the peroneal nerve.
The function of the Jousto orthosis is based on a bundle of springs.
When walking, the Jousto orthosis actively supports and lifts the foot blade in the leg swing point (dorsiflexion).
When the heel hits the ground, Jousto allows the ankle to straighten (pantarflexion) and the spring bundle dampens the stretching movement, making walking natural.
Thanks to the Jousto's construction, the calf band does not move up or down while walking.
That's why it doesn't bother the calf. Jousto is easy to move from one shoe to another and goes unnoticed.
The Jousto orthosis consists of a plastic foot plate, a lateral steel support, a calf band and a spring bundle.
The side steel and calf band are made of stainless steel.
The spring bundle is made of spring steel and the entire Jousto brace is covered in black or beige plastic.
Thanks to these materials, Jousto is very easy to adapt to each patient.
The Jousto device can be maintained and parts can be changed if necessary.
