A normal gait is essential for walking. In the correct case, the knee extends so that the lower leg swings forward with the foot flexed and raised upwards (dorsiflexion) in order to clear the ground. Unfortunately, as a result of injuries or neurological disorders, the peroneal nerve is damaged or paralyzed and the front of the foot cannot be lifted. The toes then drag on the ground while walking, a so-called "drop foot". The nerve can be damaged in a number of ways: after a car or sports accident, due to diabetes, a stroke or a congenital disease such as cerebral palsy.
To avoid dragging their toes, people with foot drop may raise their knee higher than normal or swing their leg in an arc. This can put serious strain on the knee, hip, and spine joints.

Very easy to set up:
Assemble the hooks into the holes in the lace before inserting the shoe (1)
and screw the hook with a screwdriver to the nut (2).
CAUTION! The more you tighten the Boa dial, the higher your foot will be raised.
Place the splint on the ankle and cut off the excess material.
Intertwine the ribbon through the loops in the specific way. (1) Pass the ribbon through the loop (2) and secure the Velcro (3).
Hang the rope on the shoe.
Adjust the required compression with the BOA Fit System
