Multifunctional orthosis to stabilize the hip joint
The multifunctional SofTec Coxa orthosis stabilises the hip joint, for example after a total hip replacement or femoral head removal.
It prevents dislocation of the hip joint by limiting the range of motion by means of a monocentric joint. SofTec Coxa can be adjusted directly in bed on a lying patient. The multifunctional orthosis can be used on the left, right or both sides.
Special hinge with a single pivot point for abduction/adduction (moving away from the body/moving towards the body) and extension/flexion (extending the leg forward/backward).

HEALING THROUGH PRECISIONofTec Coxa guides the hip joint safely and according to the indication thanks to the special joint developed by Bauerfeind.
Flexion/extension and abduction/adduction are anatomically adjusted in a single pivot.
The monocentric hinge can be positioned continuously at the height of the greater trochanter (the large bony point of the thigh at the outside of the hip region).
The SofTec Coxa thus fixes the head of the hip joint in the joint cavity.
Movements that could lead to dislocation are avoided. The surgical result is guaranteed.
In application studies, 95.8% of doctors confirm the medical efficacy.
STABILITY AND COMFORT
The proper fit of the SofTec Coxa ensures stability of the hip joint.
The anatomical shape of the pelvis rests firmly and comfortably on the iliac crest.
The shape of the pelvis is individually adapted to the body and integrated into the breathable knitted fabric, which is easily closed with a Velcro fastener.
The upper leg bandage is made of a special, skin-friendly, checkered knit, which can be closed with little effort using a Velcro fastener. 95.8% of patients were satisfied with the SofTec Coxa in application studies.
